  • Linux on ARMMK802 is a popular ARM based super micro computer which can plug directly into any HDMI output for an on the go media player, internet browser, game machine or for general use. It features 1.0GHz Cortex-A8 CPU and 500MHz GPU, 1GB DDR3 memory and 4GB flash storage. The stock Android can be replaced with Ubuntu Linux.

  • Linux on ARMCanonical thinks that the ARM servers are the way of the future, and they are doing everything in their power to assure themselves that they're ready for the massive adoption of low-powered servers.

  • Linux on ARMWhile not as popular as NVIDIA's Tegra 3 ARM SoC, the Samsung Exynos 4412 quad-core ARM Cortex-A9 found on cheaply priced ODROID-X can actually outperform the quad-core NVIDIA ARM processor. Here are benchmarks of the $129 USD ODROID-X benchmarked against the NVIDIA Tegra 3 reference tablet and a PandaBoard ES running the Texas Instruments OMAP4460.

  • Linux on ARMBack in June there were Calxeda's ARM Highbank performance claims of delivering 15x performance-per-Watt superior performance to Intel's Xeon x86 processor. At long last, independent benchmarks of a quad-core Calxeda Highbank board are beginning to surface.

  • Linux on ARMThe folks at Rikomagic UK sell a mini PC called the MK802 which can run Google Android, Ubuntu Linux, or a range of other operating systems. It features an Allwinner A10 ARM Cortex-A8 processor and HDMI and USB ports for connecting a monitor, keyboard, and mouse.

  • Linux on ARMGumstix has just announced the Waysmall Silverlode computer, a small form factor device running Linaro ARM optimized Ubuntu and designed for developers of commercial and industrial applications such as digital signage players and remote servers. It's based on Overo EarthSTORMComputer-on-Module (Texas Instruments Sitara AM3703 @ 1 GHz, 512MB Flash and 512MB RAM) and consumes less than 2.5 W.

  • Linux on ARMVIA Technologies has announced the VIA VAB-800 Pico-ITX board powered by a Freescale i.MX537 (ARM Cortex A8) processor clocked at 800MHz or 1GHz depending on the requirements, with 1GB DDR3-800 SDRAM and support for eMMC Flash with a capacity of up to 64 GB. The VIA VAB-800 is an industrial board that can operate in a wide temperature range and targets high-end industrial and in-vehicle embedded applications.

  • Linux on ARMNot content with dominating the world of smartphones and tablets, makers of low-power ARM chips are setting their sights on the server market. While x86 servers are still the norm, there have been hints for some time that ARM might become a presence in the data center. Another small, early step toward an ARM future was taken this week as the makers of an infrastructure-as-a-service testbed added ARM servers as a free option for developers.
