Linux on ARMWe've added installation instructions, a new root filesystem tarball, and custom packages to support the Marvell Armada 510 powered CuBox. The device represents a multimedia powerhouse in a package smaller than your average wall wart, providing 1080p HDMI with CEC support, SPDIF optical audio output, gigabit ethernet, an IRDA sensor for remote controls, and USB and eSATA connectivity to access your media libraries.

Linux on ARMTaipei, Taiwan, June 5th, 2012 – Leading ICT manufacturing company MiTAC International Corp. (MiTAC) is pleased to announce the first product in its new range of ARM processor-based Servers. Working alongside ARM, Marvell and Canonical, the new server is able to provide peak performance with outstanding power efficiency and optimized for today's emerging class of cloud-based server application.

Linux on ARMWith the development of computer, embedded system has become an important part of computer science and researching focus. Porting embedded OS and developing driver are popular now and there has lots of job at the real industry area. Porting ARMLinux and writing drivers based on S3CEB2410 board is studied in this paper. ARM926T is an efficient low-power RISC core.

Linux on ARMBack in April I wrote about an open-source graphics driver for Qualcomm's Snapdragon. This reverse-engineered driver project was actually started by an employee of Texas Instruments -- a competitor to Qualcomm -- but was being done since it was some of the only ARM hardware out there where the developer wasn't tainted by NDAs. Since Phoronix delivered the announcement of this Snapdragon GPU driver, there hasn't been much news to report.

Linux on ARMThere's a growing number of features coming about for the Linux 3.5 kernel. Covered so far has been the DRM GPU drivers, input, input, and other areas. The ARM architecture has also been enhanced with Linux 3.5.

Linux on ARMIf you are tired of waiting for Red Hat to do an official port of its Enterprise Linux commercial distribution to the ARM architecture, well then Red Sleeve Linux has just what you are looking for.

Linux on ARMDell is working closely with Canonical (promoter of Ubuntu Linux) and Cloudera (a Hadoopadvocate) to prepare its next-generation ARM servers for so-called "hyperscale" customer environments. Though not available for purchase yet, ARM-based servers from Dell and other PC makers sound promising. The big question: Where is Microsoft and Windows Server amid the expanding ARM-based server discussion?

Linux on ARMHave you been wondering if your Web application will work with the new generation of Hyperdense ARM Servers? Now you can easily find out by using Ubuntu and Amazon Web Services. For over 4 years, Canonical has been supporting Linux on ARM. Ubuntu Server 12.04 is our first Long Term Support on ARM.

Linux on ARMThe new wave of fun geek toys is inexpensive, hackable, tiny Linux-powered ARM computers, and they're red hot. This is the year to go small.

Linux on ARMWhile Fedora 17 should be released next week, the ARM version is lagging behind and has just reached its own beta milestone. The Beefy Miracle for ARM isn't in quite as good shape as the i686 and x86_64 binaries, but at least now it's reaching beta. This architecture is handled by a separate Fedora (ARM) community team.

Linux on ARMVIA Technologies is entering Raspberry Pi territory with its latest product — the APC. It's a $49 barebones computer designed to run Google Android. The system includes a processor, memory, storage, and a range of ports for connectivity — but no case.

Linux on ARMARM has published a new open-source X.Org DDX Linux graphics driver while working to enable support for their next-generation ARM Mali T6xx graphics core.
