Linux on ARMNokia engineer Oleg Romashin has ported an early version of Firefox OS to run on the Raspberry Pi. Firefox OS is Mozilla's upcoming operating system for smartphones and tablets. Like Google Android, it uses a Linux kernel, but Firefox puts a heavy emphasis on the web — all the apps it runs are basically web apps.

Bodhi's ARM Branch Moves to ARMHF

Linux on ARMAfter doing some research and testing for the last week I have arrived at the conclusion that Bodhi's ARM branch will best serve our users by moving our core from Debian Wheezy ARMEL to utilize Debian Wheezy ARMHF. I'm not going to get into the technical difference between the two platforms here - just know that in general ARMHF is faster.

Linux on ARMLinaro has planned 15 virtual conferences between Monday, August 13 and Saturday, August 18, 2012. Those online events will deal with the work done at Linaro, including software optimization, software QA, Android and Linux kernel development, Open Embedded on ARMv8 and more. Those conferences are public and anybody can join.
